1. Make sure you have read the safety instructions before cleaning.
2. Use a slightly dampened cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning agent for cleaning the appliance.
3. Make sure that no water penetrates inside the housing. Never immerse the appliance in water or
other liquids while cleaning or operating it. Never hold the appliance under running water.
4. Dry all parts thoroughly before using the appliance again or storing it away.
5. Do not use sharp objects, benzene, solvents or cleaning agents that damage plastics under any
circumstances.
6. The appliance must always be kept clean and dry.
7. Store the appliance and all its accessories in a location that is protected from dust, moisture and
direct sunlight and also remove the batteries. Store the appliance out of the reach of children.

Disposal of electrical appliances
This appliance is subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electric and
electronic equipment (WEEE), which states that used electrical household appliances must
not be disposed of as general municipal waste. This type of used equipment must be sorted
and collected separately from other household waste in order to increase the proportion of
recovered equipment and their constituent materials for recycling. The aim here is to reduce any
negative effects on human health and the environment. The symbol showing a crossed out wheelie
bin is displayed on all equipment as a reminder that these items must be disposed of separately. The
consumer should contact the local waste collection authorities (e.g. authorised waste collection
companies or municipal waste disposal facilities) or the distributor of their appliance to find out how
this appliance should be properly discarded. Please take care to follow the regulations that are
currently in force. If you are uncertain, contact your local authority waste disposal facility.
Rechargeable batteries / batteries must not be disposed of as household waste. Every
consumer is required by law to hand in rechargeable batteries / batteries to a collection point
in their local community/district or in a shop. This requirement serves to ensure that
rechargeable batteries / batteries will be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Only hand in
rechargeable batteries / batteries that are fully discharged. Isolating the poles (with a piece of
adhesive tape, for example) allows short circuits to be prevented.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally friendly way. Remove the batteries before
disposing of the appliance.
