Installation

The camera is equipped with a pre-mounted wall bracket. This is to be tightened to a suitable
place using three screws. Use appropriate dowels depending on the surface.
If the connection cable should be laid out hidden, a corresponding big opening should be drilled
underneath the wall bracket, to insert the plug. The wall bracket then covers this opening and
protects the cable for mischievous damage.
Alternatively, the cable may be lead outward via a small opening on the side of the wall mount.
Protect the cable with a suitable cable conduit or the like.
Place the camera as desired and fasten it with the delivered Allen keys.
The camera should not be pointed directly at bright sources of light or the sun, since the image
will be overdriven by this.
b) Camera
• The camera is only intended to be used with a stabilised direct current of 12 V/DC.
The inner contact of the round plug should be Plus/"+", the outer contact Minus/"-".
• The camera is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor areas (IP65). However, it
must never be operated in or under water, this will damage it.
• The plugs at the connection cable of the camera are not waterproof or water tight
and must therefore be installed in a dry indoor area.
• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace the personal super-
vision of children, or people who require special assistance, but only serves as a
support to this supervision.
• The camera should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight,
strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Make sure that the connection cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
• Disconnect the power supply from the power socket if the camera will not be used
for a while (e.g. storage).
b) Power adapter
• The design of the power adapter complies with protection class II. Only use a stan-
dard mains socket as the voltage source (see section „Technical data").
• The power adapter is only intended for use in dry indoor rooms; it must not get
damp or wet; never touch it with wet hands!
There is a risk of life-threatening electric shock!
Protect the power adapter from direct solar radiation, strong heat (>35°C), cold
(<0°C), dust and dirt, vibrations or mechanical loads.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g. during transport), con-
densation may be produced.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before you connect it to the mains
voltage. This may take several hours. Otherwise, there is lethal danger due to an
electric shock!
• Do not pull the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• If the power adapter is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from elec-
tric shock!
Switch off the mains voltage to the mains socket to which the power adapter is con-
nected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse).
You can then unplug the power adapter from the mains socket. Dispose of the
damaged power adapter in an environmental-friendly way, do not use it any more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifications.
For outdoor use we recommend to choose a location that is protected from rain (e.g.
under the eaves) to prevent the formation of droplets on the camera's front panel that
will cause a distorted and unusable image.
Make sure when screwing into place or when drilling holes that cables or wires are
not damaged.
The connection plugs are not waterproof and should be kept indoors, otherwise they
will corrode.
