Leaking or damaged batteries can cause irritation when touched
with the skin, therefore use suitable gloves for these.
Take care that batteries are not short-circuited, recharged or
thrown into fire. Danger of explosion can arise.
Do not leave packaging material unsupervised; plastic film and
bags, expanded polystyrene parts, etc., can become dangerous
playthings for children.
When it is thought that safe operation is no longer possible, the
unit and its power supply are to be taken out of service and pro-
tected from unintentional use.
Safe operation is to be considered no longer possible when:
• the unit or connecting leads show visible damage
• the unit or the connected power supply no longer operate
• after lengthy storage under adverse conditions
• after severe transport stress
No part of the product may be modified or converted nor the
screwed case opened!
Should correct connection not be clear or should questions not
explained within the operating instructions arise, please contact
our technical information or other specialist.

Product description

The CEI 5 transmitter can be used alone or to complement an
installed door chime. The unit becomes mobile when used with a
battery or fixed when used with a transformer/power unit.
4
The transmitter is activated by means of a connected button. As
a result an encoded 433 MHz radio signal is transmitted, which
can be interpreted by the CEI 1 and CEI 2 receivers.
There are 4 different chiming tones determined by a switch in
the auxiliary transmitter, which are repeated by the receiver.
To prevent incorrect allocation through units of the same kind,
the unit has been encoded by the manufacturer.
