Auxiliary Transmitter CEI 5
Please read the following operating instructions through careful-
ly before putting the unit into operation. They provide not only
the correct operating procedure, but at the same time also ena-
ble the technical potential of the unit to be fully realised.
Should the unit require technical inspection or repair at any
time, our customer service department and service centre would
be pleased to assist.
For this reason we recommend the original packaging be retai-
ned to protect the unit from damage during transport.
Attention! Read without fail!
In case of damage caused by failure to observe the instructions,
guarantee rights are forfeited.
We accept no responsibility for resultant consequential damage.
These operating instructions are to be read through carefully
before putting the unit into operation.
Retain these instructions carefully for future reference !
This clause has been checked against EU directive 89/336/EU and
conforms to statutory regulations.

Intended use

The CEI 5 transmitter unit is an auxiliary transmitter for the CEI 1
(Order No. 62 44 03) and CEI 2 (Order No. 62 60 07) wireless door
chimes. The unit is to be used exclusively in connection with the-
se wireless door chime systems.

The area of use of the unit is as a transmitter unit in enclosed, dry
spaces. The transmissions occur by radio.
This product is approved only for connection to 8-14 V / 50 Hz
AC, 8-14 V DC or for battery operation (12 V / type A 23). Its use
is only permitted in enclosed spaces, i.e. not out of doors.
Contact with dampness, e.g. in bathrooms or similar is to be avoi-
ded without fail.
Any other use than as described above can lead to damage to
this product; in addition, this is accompanied by dangers such as
for example short circuit, fire, electric shock etc. No part of the
product may be modified or converted nor the case opened!
The unit is not suitable for use in industrial applications.
The safety instructions are to be followed without fail!
Safety and hazard instructions
The unit is equipped for battery operation (12 V / type A 23) or
operation with a suitable transformer/power supply (8-14 VAC/8-
14 VDC). The unit may not be connected to any other voltage
source.
Electrical units and batteries do not belong in the hands of child-
ren.
Take care that the unit does not become damp or wet.
Avoid severe mechanical stress to the unit. Avoid high tempera-
tures (e.g. direct sunlight), strong vibrations and excessive
dampness, otherwise the unit can be damaged.
Do not allow batteries to lie about openly due to the danger that
they might be swallowed by children or pets. In case of swallo-
wing seek immediate medical assistance.
