j) Setting Function "PRIVACY"

It is possible to cover several image areas with a coloured rectangle (8 different
colours can be selected).
This is done to protect sensitive areas from monitoring or recording, e.g. the
displays on a screen.
First switch on the function. If you push the button only briefl y as usual, you can
perform the following settings:
"AREA SEL"
"COLOR"
"TRANSP"
"MOSAIC"
Select an image area here.
The sliders "TOP", "BOTTOM", "LEFT" and "RIGHT" can be
used to draw a rectangle.
Set the colour of the rectangle; 8 different colours are availa-
ble. Observe that the colours are displayed grey in black/
white display of the camera image (e.g. at night)!
Set the rectangle transparency here. The rectangle is not
transparent for a setting of "1.00".
If "TRANSP" is set to a value below "1.00", the image may
also be displayed falsifi ed if you select "ON".
The image area selected for "AREA SEL" is applied with a mo-
saic pattern. This still shows when things use in the image
area, but no details are visible.
