7. Connection

The camera has a connection cable with two plugs at the end.
The video signal (PAL) is available at the BNC connector. Use a matching adap-
ter if you cannot use a BNC video cable.
The camera is connected to the external voltage supply via the round socket
(direct voltage, 12 V/DC). A matching round plug is required for connection, outer
diameter 5.5 mm, inner diameter 2.1 mm. The outer contact of the round plug
must conduct minus/-, the inner contact plus/+.
Incorrect connection or wrong voltages will damage the camera; loss of
warranty/guarantee!
If the camera is installed and operated outdoors, the two plug connectors must
only be placed in a location protected from moisture. Observe chapter 6. If this
is not observed, there will be corrosion of the plug connectors!
Set the correct input channel at the display device for the camera image to be
displayed.
If required, align the camera correctly so that you can monitor the desired image
section.
The IR LEDs are switched on automatically in the dark. The IR-LEDs are, how-
ever, not visible to the human eye. Observe that the image is displayed in black
and white instead of colour on a collected screen at night.
