G Operating instructions
RS2W Radio-controlled contact switch
Item no. 1289338
Intended use
The radio-controlled contact switch can wirelessly switch a suitable receiver of the RS2W radio system
(or a consumer load connected to it) on or off. The radio-controlled contact switch is operated via a type
"CR2032" battery.
As a special feature, the radio-controlled contact switch feeds back via LED whether the programmed
radio receivers (max. 5) of the RS2W radio system have received the switching commands or not.
Please read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass the product on to a
third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and will expose you to ad-
ditional risks, such as short-circuiting, fire, etc. No part of the product may be modified or converted! The
safety instructions must be observed at all times!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of companies

Safety instructions
D amage due to failure to follow these operating instructions will void the warranty! We do
not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
W e do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will be null and
void!
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for safety
and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the transmitters of the
RS2W radio system only emit relatively weak radio signals, these may cause life-support
system malfunction. The same may also apply to other areas.
• The product must not get damp or wet!
• Do not use the product in rooms with adverse environmental conditions, where combusti-
ble gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy me-
chanical stress.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since this may become a dan-
gerous toy for children.
• Handle the product with care; it may be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental falls,
even from a low height.
Battery notes
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by children or
pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. You should
therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.

Installation

1
Battery (1x CR2032)
2
On/off switch ("I" = On, "O" = Off)
3
Control button
4
Slide the switch to set for how long the radio open-
ing-detector programmed to the radio receiver re-
mains activated, when the radio opening-detector
detects the opening of a window or a door and sends
a corresponding radio signal
5
Arrows indicating the direction of the radio opening-
detector and the magnet must be accurately aligned
to each other during assembly
6
Red + blue LED (under the cover, only visible in dark
environment)
To affix the radio-controlled contact switch, use suitable screws for each surface.
You can also attach the radio-controlled contact switch and magnet to a smooth surface using adhesive
tape at the back.
Before sticking make sure that the adhesive surface on the window or door has been carefully cleaned
and is free of dust and fat.
Important!
The two arrows on the radio-controlled contact switch and the magnet must point exactly to
each other.
The distance between the radio-controlled contact switch and the magnet should at this point be
a maximum of 10 mm, so that this arrangement is detected as a "closed door / window".
From a distance of more than 20 mm, the position of the radio-controlled contact switch and
the magnet is detected as an "open door / window". The radio signal to switch on a corre-
sponding radio receiver of the RS2W radio system is triggered (for the switch-on duration set
with the slide switch (4)).
At a distance of 10 - 20 mm, the environmental conditions and manufacturing tolerance will
determine when the the radio-controlled contact switch changes between "open door/win-
dow" and "closed door/window".
We recommend that you check the installation location and the function of the product before
final installation. For the function test, fix the radio-controlled contact switch and the magnet,
for example, with a few strips of adhesive tape.
Inserting battery, getting started
• Open the battery compartment of the radio-controlled contact switch by sliding out the battery cover.
Then place a type CR2032 battery inside, observing the correct polarity. The battery's positive end points
outwards towards you.
Delivery includes a type CR2032 battery. It is possible this is already inserted in the battery
compartment.
• Before replacing the battery compartment cover, refer to the following operation instruction sections.

Operation

Keep a minimum distance of 20 - 30 cm between the radio-controlled contact switch and the
radio receiver.
a) Switching on/off
The radio-controlled contact switch can be switched on (switch position "I") or off (switch position "O")
using the slide switch (2).
Switch the radio-controlled contact switch off, when it is not needed to save power and to
increase the life of the battery.
b) Selecting the switch-on duration
Use the slide switch (4) to set the desired switch-on time for the radio receiver (e.g. a radio-controlled
socket or similar) controlled by the radio-controlled contact switch. The time can be set to 6 seconds, 15
seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes.
Example: You have mounted the radio-controlled contact switch on a door, the time is set to 5
minutes and then you programmed a radio-controlled socket.
After the door is opened, the radio-controlled socket and a load connected to it is switched on
for a duration of 5 minutes.
If the door remains open, the load will still be switched off after the set time of 5 minutes. So
there will be no unnecessary energy consumption when the door is accidentally left open.
A new switching process takes place only when the door is closed and then re-opened.
