d) Notes on rechargeable batteries
• When using lead batteries, protective clothing and goggles must be worn for safety reasons.
• Lead batteries contain aggressive, corrosive acids. Avoid any contact of skin or eyes with
liquids from the lead battery! Never try to take lead batteries apart! Flush skin areas affected
thoroughly with water and soap. If you get acid in your eye, wash it immediately under running,
clean, lukewarm water for at least 10 minutes! Then consult a doctor immediately!
If you get acid on your clothes, wash them immediately with plenty of water and soap!
• Never wear rings, necklaces, watches or the like when handling rechargeable batteries or
charging devices. Short-circuiting the contacts on the rechargeable battery risks burns and
explosion!
• Rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited or thrown into a fire; risk of explosion and
fire!
• Dispose of defect lead batteries environmentally compatibly. Cover the contactors of the
batteries (e.g. with suitable insulation tape) to avoid short-circuits.
If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are not answered in
these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or another specialist.

CHARGING INDICATOR FOR INTERNAL BATTERY
Press the button (11). The four LEDs (4) show you the charging condition: The more LEDs are illuminated,
the more the internal battery is charged. Re-charge the battery, if only one or two LEDs are illuminated. At
least 3 LEDs should be illuminated when using the jump start function!
WORKING PLACE LIGHT
The working place light (6) can be switched on or off with button (7). Always switch the working place light
off, when you are not using it in order to save power.
12V OUPUT SOCKET
The 12V output socket (10) serves for connection of a suitable device, e.g. charger for mobile phones or
similar. The voltage at the socket (10) is switched on or off with button (9).
Please keep in mind that the current consumption of the device connected to the socket must be lower than
10A. The internal fuse will be triggered if the output current is higher. If this happens, remove the device
connected to the socket. The internal fuse recovers automatically after a short time.
Since the output socket is connected directly to the internal battery via the on/off switch with, make absolutely
sure that the connected device is removed in time so that a total discharge of the internal battery does not
occur.
AIR COMPRESSOR
Open the cover of the storage box (17) at the back. The air hose of the air compressor is placed there. Not
only vehicle tyres but also e.g. footballs or similar can be inflated with the supplied adapter.
The air compressor is switched on and off with on/off switch (15). A pressure gauge (16) can be used for a
rough measurement of the pressure inside e.g. a tyre.
The air compressor delivers an air pressure of max. ca. 6.9 bars. Consider the respective value
when inflating a e.g. a tyre (consider the operating instructions of the vehicle). There is a risk of
explosion and injury if the inflation pressure is too high!
Do not operate the air compressor when it is unattended!
A LED (14) lights up when the compressor is overheated. In this case, switch off the air compressor imme-
diately and leave it to cool down completely before resuming operation.
JUMP STARTS
The quick start system is only suitable for vehicles with an on-board voltage of 12V, whose negative pole of
the vehicle battery is connected to the car body.
Consider the information and safety instructions of the operating instructions of the
vehicle on how to do a jump start. Modern vehicles contain sensitive electronic
components and controls, which may be damaged when progressing incorrectly!
• Turn off the ignition of the vehicle that is to be jump started. Switch off all electrical devices (e.g. radio, light,
etc.).
• Make sure that the battery integrated in the quick start system is fully charged (see section „Charging
indicator for internal battery").
• The rotary knob (1) must be in „OFF" position (switched off). Also switch off all other functions of the quick
start system (compressor, working place light, 12V output socket).
• In vehicles, in which the negative pole of the vehicle battery is connected to the car body (modern vehicles),
first connect the red alligator clamp of the quick start system with the positive pole („+") of the vehicle
battery.
• Then, connect the black alligator clamp with a blank metal part (no painted metal, no plastic) of the engine
block. Keep as much distance as possible between the vehicle battery and petrol hoses.
• Move the rotary knob (1) to the position "ON".
Once the plus and minus cables are correctly attached, the LED (5) lights up green.
Should the cables be attached with reversed voltage, the LED (5) lights up red and a warning
signal (continuous peeping) can be heard.
• Try to start the vehicle (approx. 5-6 seconds). Do not let the starter work for more than 6 seconds. The
quick start system is not intended for longer starts. Pause for at least 3 minutes after a 6-second start.
Stop jump starting the vehicle if the engine did not start after several attempts.
• If the engine is running, move the rotary knob (1) to the position „OFF".
• First, disconnect the black alligator clamp from the vehicle, wind it at the side of the quick start system and
fasten the alligator clamp at the intended holder (13).
• Then, disconnect the red alligator clamp from the vehicle battery. Wind this cable at the other side of the
quick start system and fasten the alligator clamp at the intended holder, as well.
• Recharge quick start system.
RECHARGING THE QUICK START SYSTEM
Switch off all product components (e.g. working place light, compressor, 12V output socket) and
move the rotary knob (1) in the position „OFF". If a device is connected to the 12V output socket,
disconnect it from the quick start system!
Important: Due to the self-discharge of the lead battery, we recommend to recharge the quick
start system every 3-4 months at latest.
a) Recharging with 230V battery charger
• Connect the low-voltage cable of the battery charger (19) with the charging socket (8), plug the charger
into a mains socket (230V~/50Hz). The charging LED (3) lights up.
• Recharging takes ca. 48-50 hours, if the battery of the quick start system is fully discharged.
• Then separate the charger from the quick start system, pull out the plug.
Now and then check the charge by pressing the button (11). Before you do this the charging
cable for use with current as well as the auto 12 V cable must be removed. If both green LEDs
light up, then the rechargeable battery is fully loaded.
b) Recharging with 12V battery charger
• Connect the 12V battery charger (20) with the charging socket (8), plug the cigarette lighter socket into the
respective socket of the vehicle. The charging LED (3) light up (if not, there is only voltage at the socket
when the ignition is on. In this case, we recommend recharging with the supplied 230V battery charger!).
• Recharging takes ca. 20-24 hours, if the battery of the quick start system is fully discharged.
• Then separate the 12 V charging cable from the quick start system, pull it out of the cigarette lighter socket.
Now and then check the charge by pressing the button (11). Before you do this the charging
cable for use with current as well as the auto 12 V cable must be removed. If both green LEDs
light up, then the rechargeable battery is fully loaded.
CHANGING THE FUSE IN THE 12V CHARGER
A micro fuse is integrated in the 12V battery charger. It can be replaced very easily by unscrewing the knurled
wheel at the top of the cigarette lighter plug.
A fuse of the type 6,3 x 32 mm, 250 V, 2A, quick release characteristics is required as replacement. Never
bypass a defect fuse; never use any other fuse type than the one described above.
CLEANING
The product must be switched off before cleaning. Clean the outside of the product with a dry, clean, soft
cloth.
Do not use aggressive detergents, or there could be changes in colour.
DISPOSAL
Product
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
Lead batteries
You as the ultimate customer are legally obliged (according to the Regulation on Flat Batteries)
to return all used batteries and accumulators; disposal in the household waste is prohibited!
Lead-containing batteries are marked with the symbol „Pb", which indicates that disposal in the
household waste is prohibited.
You can hand in your used lead batteries at the official collection points of your community or
everywhere lead batteries are sold.
Your thereby comply with your legal obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
