Installation

The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a spe-
cialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations.
This product must only be commissioned and operated by appropriately qual-
ifi ed persons, who have read and follow these operating instructions.
When selecting the location for installing your device, take care that is will not
be subjected to shaking, vibrations, dust, heat, cold or moisture. Furthermore,
keep the product away from strong transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
When installing the product ensure that the power supply unit's power cord is
not jammed or damaged by sharp edges.
During installation and service work, the area below the installation location
must be cordoned off.
The installation surface, or mounting fi xture, must be designed so that it can
withstand 10 times the loading capacity for at least 1 hour without permanent
damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is independent of the proper mounting supports, when it is
installed in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the instal-
lation should be able to fall down.
Observe all the relevant regulations when installing the device.
Keep a free area of 15 cm around the housing to ensure unhindered heat dis-
sipation. Otherwise, the laser may overheat.
• Install the laser effect device using the mounting bracket (1) on the ceiling, the wall or on a
suitable crossbeam. When installing it, make sure that the device cannot swing freely .
• Secure the device with mounting materials which are compatible with the mounting surface
and are suitable for carrying the weight of the laser effect device.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The safety
restraint cable or net must be able of supporting the laser effect device, in the event of a fault
in the main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and carefully tighten the two bracket locking screws (4).
Connecting the Power Adaptor
The mains socket, to which the laser is connected, must be easily accessible
so the device can be quickly disconnected from the mains supply in the case
of a fault.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and main connectors. Mains volt-
age can give severe electric shocks, which can be fatal.
Do not leave the cables trailing free; route them in an orderly and professional
way to prevent accidents.
Make sure that the device is switched off (on/off POWER SWITCH (6) in posi-
tion „O") before connecting it to the power supply.
• Plug the enclosed power supply unit's low-voltage plug into the DC IN low-voltage socket (5).
• Plug the power supply unit into a wall socket.
• The device is switched on and off with the POWER SWITCH on/off switch (6):
Position "O": Device off
Position "I": Device on
• When the device is switched on, the power indicator (3) on the front of the device lights up
and the laser beam shines through the laser aperture (2).

Operation

• Switch on the laser with the POWER SWITCH on/off switch (6). Put the switch in position „I"
to do this.
• Move the function switch (8) to the desired position:
AUTO SPEED:
The laser patterns are changed automatically.
MUSIC:
The laser patterns change in time to the music (controlled via a built-in microphone). The
response sensitivity of the microphone control is set with the MUSIC (7) controller.
If the music is switched off or if the response sensitivity is set too low, the laser is switched off.
MANUAL SPEED:
The laser patterns can be changed with the MANUAL SPEED (9) key.
Handling
• Never switch the laser effect device on and off at short intervals. This will considerably reduce
the working life of the device.
• Never use the device in together with a dimmer pack.
• The device is not suitable for continuous use. Pauses in operation increase the working life
of the product.
• Never plug the power unit into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken
from a cold into a warm environment. The condensation that forms might damage your unit.
Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation
has evaporated.
• Never connect or disconnect power adaptors if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power unit from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the
grips on the plug.
• Unplug the power supply if you are not going to use the device for a while.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power unit from the mains socket during storms.
• To ensure suffi cient ventilation, do not cover the device. In addition, the air circulation must
not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths or curtains. When the device is
in operation, keep a free space of at least 15 cm around the device.

Maintenance

Before cleaning the laser, disconnect it from the power supply (disconnect the
power supply unit).
Make sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry brush.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface
of the housing.
Disposal
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
