d) "Record" mode


The multimedia player is equipped with a microphone (7) (hole on the side
between USB socket and headphone socket). It can be used e.g. for voice
recordings (like a dictating machine).
Use buttons "<" (1) and ">" (2) to select "Record" in the main menu. Press the "M" button (4)
to confirm.
• Press the "" button to start recording. Press the same button to pause or continue
recording.
• To stop and save, hold down the "M" button (4) until "Saving..." is displayed.
Special functions (recording not in progress)
Press the "M" button (4) when recording is not in progress to activate the function menu.
• "Local Folder": Selecting a folder
Select a folder in which to store your recordings. Hold down the "M" button (4) to return to
the recording function.
• "Rec Type": Recording mode
Select the desired recording mode ("Fine" = best quality, "Long" = extended recording time).
If you select "VOR", the recording stops when there is only little ambient noise and starts at
a certain noise level (voice-activated recording for extended recording time).
