The "STACKING OUT" outputs (6, 8) are in parallel with the inputs and are used to supply
the same input signal to other amplifiers or sound systems. This signal output connectors are of
jack 1/4" type. The pin assignment is as follows:
HOT or direct signal
COLD or inverted signal
GROUND
The input impedance is 47K Ω (balanced) with a nominal input sensitivity of 0dBV(1V). This
impedance makes possible to parallel several amplifiers without loosing audio quality.
The input circuit has an electronic protection against overloads of 100Vpp(permanent) and
450Vpp (short moments). There is an RC radiofrequency filter that avoids possible
intermodulations and also protects the treble loudspeakers. The rising time of the input signal has
been optimised for a very low TIM.

3.4. Subsonic filter

This filter avoids the reproduction of inaudible frequencies (subsonic) on the amplifier which
could damage the loudspeakers because they can generate over-displacement of the loudspeaker
cone.
The SIXTY E SERIES has a built- in subsonic filter. This filter is switchable from the back
panel "SUBSONIC" switch (12) and it is a -18db/octave Butterworth-type filter with a cut-off
frequency of 25Hz.
The subsonic filter is very important when reproducing vinyl records because audio
cartridges are specially sensible to very low frequency feedback and acoustical coupling.

3.5. Limiter circuit

This commutable circuit in the rear panel "Anticlip" (13) analyses constantly the harmonic
distortion produced by the excessive clip of the output signal of the amplifier and reduce
automatically the input level without surpassing a distortion of approximately 2%.
It is important to note the utility of this circuit in "conflictive" installations or where an extra
protection for the loudspeakers is desired. The advantage of this system in front classical
compressors is that the sound dynamics is not affected unless the distortion threshold is reached.

3.6. Output connections

The SIGNAL OUTPUTS section, at the rear panel, is provided with 4 screw terminals (14),
2 per channel.
When you want to connect the amplifier in Bridged function mode (mono o r bridged), you
must position the switch MODE (11) in Bridged Position. The input signal connection is carried out
through the channel connector 1 BRIDGED INPUT (5) and the output to the loudspeaker through
the red coloured terminals as shown in the back panel with the symbols + - and the word
BRIDGED.
The connection cable that joins the amplifiers outputs and the loudspeakers must be of
good quality, sufficient section and as short as possible. This is most important when the distances
to cover are long ones i.e. up to 10 meters it is recommended to use a section not inferior to
2
2.5mm
and for superior distances 4mm
