IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON HANDLING RECHARGEABLE
BATTERIES/BATTERIES
Please note the following instructions when handling rechargeable batteries/batteries:
• RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Never throw rechargeable batteries/batteries into a fire.
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• When replacing rechargeable batteries/batteries, only use the same type of rechargeable
battery/battery or an equivalent.
• Always change all the rechargeable batteries/batteries at the same time. Do not use a combination of
new and used rechargeable batteries/batteries, i.e. those with unequal charges.
• RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Never open rechargeable batteries/batteries. Never solder or
weld rechargeable batteries/batteries.
• RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Do not short-circuit the connections.
• RISK OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION! Ensure that the rechargeable batteries/batteries are inserted
correctly. Observe the (+) plus and (-) minus polarities on the rechargeable battery/battery and the
battery compartment. Improperly inserted rechargeable batteries/batteries could leak or in extreme
cases cause a fire or explosion.
• Never expose the rechargeable batteries/batteries to excessive heat (e.g. strong sunlight or fire). The
rechargeable batteries/batteries could explode.
• Check the rechargeable batteries/batteries regularly. Leaking rechargeable batteries/batteries can
cause damage to the device.
• DANGER OF INJURY! If a rechargeable battery/battery has leaked, remove it from the battery
compartment with the help of a cloth and dispose of it properly. Avoid battery acid coming into
contact with your skin and eyes. If battery acid comes into contact with your eyes, rinse out your eyes
with lots of water and immediately contact a doctor. If battery acid comes into contact with your skin,
rinse the affected area immediately using lots of soap and water.
• Keep rechargeable batteries/batteries out of the reach of children. There is a risk that children could
put rechargeable batteries/batteries in their mouth and swallow them. If a rechargeable
battery/battery has been swallowed, please obtain immediate medical assistance.
• Remove dead rechargeable batteries/batteries. Also remove the rechargeable
batteries/batteries if you know that the device is not going to be used for a long period of time.
Otherwise, the rechargeable batteries/batteries may leak and cause damage.
• Please remove the rechargeable batteries/batteries before disposing of this device.
