8. Connection and Control Elements
(38) OPEN/CLOSE buttons
With this button you can open and close the
respective CD compartment.
The CD compartment cannot be
opened during playback mode.

unit 1
The data between the drive unit and the con-
trol unit is transmitted via this socket. Connect
the REMOTE CONTROL 1 socket (34) of the
control unit with the corresponding drive unit
socket.
(42) LINE-OUT L/R sockets
The left and the right audio output signal of the
CD player is played back in analog form on
these cinch sockets. You can connect the
audio input of your mixing desk or amplifier to
this.
White cinch socket
= = left output
Red cinch socket
= = right output
(43) DIGITAL-OUT socket
The audio output signal for CD-player 1 comes
out of this socket in a digital form. The digital
audio input of an amplifier can be connected to
this, for example.
(44) START/PAUSE sockets (fader start) for
CD drive 1
Via the START/PAUSE socket, you can start or
pause the playback of the CD player with a cor-
respondingly equipped mixing desk.
(45) REMOTE-SELECT switch
With this switch, you set the operating mode
for the START/PAUSE socket (44) and (49).
Select the corresponding operating mode in
dependence on the connected mixing desk.

Operating mode
LOCK SW:
The connected mixing desk
must be equipped with a
switching contact. As soon
as the switching contact is
connected
to
the
mixing
desk, CD playback starts. If
the
switching
contact
opened, CD playback stops.
Operating mode
TACT SW:
The connected mixing desk
must be equipped with a wip-
ing contact. As soon as the
contact is closed briefly on the
mixing
desk,
CD
playback
starts. If the contact is briefly
closed again, playback stops.
(46) System connection socket of the drive
unit 2
The data between the drive unit and the control
unit is transmitted via this socket. Connect the
REMOTE CONTROL 2 socket (35) of the control
unit with the corresponding drive unit socket.
(47) LINE-OUT L/R sockets
The left and the right audio output signal of CD
player 2 is played back in analog form on these
cinch sockets. You can connect the audio input
of your mixing desk or amplifier to this.

(48) DIGITAL-OUT socket
The audio output signal for CD-player 2 comes
out of this socket in digital form. The digital
audio input of an amplifier can be connected to
this.

pause the playback of the CD player with a cor-
respondingly equipped mixing desk.
11. Mise en service
L´appareil doit être utilisé uniquement par des personnes qui sont familiarisées à la
notice d´utilisation et respectent le mode d´emploi. Tenez le lecteur de CD hors de
portée des autres personnes et enfants.
a) Mise en marche
Réglez le volume de l'amplificateur connecté au minimum. Allumez le lecteur de CD avec l'interrup-
teur marche/arrêt (36) . Allumez ensuite la table de mixage éventuellement raccordée et en der-
is
nier l'amplificateur de l'installation.
b) Insertion d'un CD
Ouvrez le tiroir de CD en appuyant sur la touche
OPEN/CLOSE de l'unité de commande ou de l'u-
nité lecteur. Le texte « OPEN » apparaît sur l'affi-
cheur.
Placez un CD audio avec le côté imprimé (côté
étiquette) vers le haut dans le tiroir. Tenez le CD
par le bord extérieur, évitez de toucher le CD sur
la face intérieure.
Le lecteur de CD est destiné uniquement à la lecture de CD audio standard.
N'insérez aucun autre CD. N´introduisez pas de CD endommagé, la vitesse élevée de
rotation pourrait le faire éclater et endommager l´appareil. Veillez à ce que le CD
repose correctement sur le tiroir CD prévu pour l´enregistrement. N´insérez pas
plus d´un CD par tiroir.
Ne gênez jamais la course des tiroirs de CD. Ne fermez pas le tiroir de CD en
appuyant dessus, cela endommagerait le mécanisme et entraînerait des dysfonc-
tionnements.
Fermez le tiroir du lecteur en appuyant encore une fois sur la touche OPEN/CLOSE . L'appareil lit
le CD (affichage « rEAd »). Le nombre de plages et la durée totale du CD apparaissent pendant un
court instant sur l'afficheur à cristaux liquides. L'appareil définit ensuite automatiquement le point
CUE au point de démarrage de la musique de la première plage du CD.
Après que l´appareil a lu le CD et défini le point CUE, le lecteur de CD passe automatiquement en
mode Pause.
Il n'est pas possible d'ouvrir le tiroir de CD tant que la lecture est en cours. C'est
une protection contre une interruption involontaire de la lecture. Arrêtez la lecture
avant d'appuyer sur la touche OPEN/CLOSE.
c) Lecture/Pause/Stop
Appuyez sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE
cheur fonctionne. Le point à partir duquel la lecture démarre est enregistré automatiquement en
tant que point CUE.
Vous pouvez interrompre la lecture de deux manières:
1. Appuyez sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE
