open. Always remove the exhausted battery from
the measuring device, since even leak-proof batte-
ries may be subject to corrosion and set free che-
micals which might harm your health or destroy the
battery compartment. Exhausted batteries must not
be disposed together with the domestic residual
waste. They are to be treated as hazardous waste
and have, therefore, to be disposed in an ecologi-
cally desirable way. Keep batteries away from child-
ren. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. The batteries
may explode.
Testing
1. Turn the power switch (8) to "ON" position.
2. Connect one end of the cable to be measured to one of the
right-hand jacks (9 or 10 depending on the type of plug) of the
master box.
Note!
The cable tester can only take measurements, if a cable is
connected to one of the right-hand jacks (9 or 10).
3. For testing a connector cable, plug the other end of the cable to
one of the left-hand jacks (1 or 2) of the master unit. For testing
an already installed cable, use one of the remote unit jacks (5 or
6).
4. Select the required test sequence with the scan selector (7).
Position AS (AutoScan)
The pairs of wires of the cable to be measured are automatically
tested successively.
Position MS (ManualScan)
The measuring process can be determined by pressing the
STEP button (3). Each time the button is pressed, another pair
of wires will be tested.
