u Loosen the cleaning cap an insert the cleaning cap into

u Start the device's self cleaning process (see chapter
"Cleaning the device").
Performing an alcohol test
NOTE
► The test cannot provide accurate results unless
you have not smoked or consumed alcohol for at
least 20 minutes prior to testing.
u Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. Slide the faceplate
upwards and place one of the plastic tubes (included) onto
the mouth piece [9].
The device beeps once, PH flashes multiple times in the display
[1] and a countdown from PH19 to PH00 is displayed.
After the countdown is complete, the device beeps and BLOW
and READY flash in the display.
u Blow into the plastic tube for approx. 6 seconds. The device
beeps and the measured value is displayed along with an
alarm message, if necessary (see chapter "Evaluating the
alcohol test").
