Cleaning
Clean your Babboe cargo bike by removing the dirt with a soft brush first and then
washing the bike with warm water. Your Babboe cargo bike will look as good as new.
Regularly cleaning your Babboe cargo bike will prolong its life. Beware of excessive use of
water around the electronics and the battery. Make sure that there is no dirt between the
sensor plate and sensor (near the bottom bracket). When cleaning the Babboe cargo bike,
it is recommended to remove the battery from the cargo bike. Never use a high- pressure
cleaner! Many parts on the Babboe cargo bike require grease, oil or vaseline. Do not wash
these substances away or reapply them immediately after washing.
Treatment
In addition to a regular cleaning, it is recommended to treat certain parts of the cargo
bike immediately after cleaning. We recommend greasing chrome parts, uncoated
aluminium and stainless steel parts with acid free petroleum jelly to prevent oxidation
(rust). Rotating parts require grease/oil. It is recommended to regularly grease the chain,
gears and shafts.
