WARRANTY AND MAINTENANCE

Warranty
The complete warranty conditions for the Babboe cargo bike can be found on our website
(www.babboe.co.uk). To keep the warranty, the cargo bike must be serviced for the first
time within 4-12 weeks (or after 100 km) after purchase. The service can be performed at
a local bicycle shop or by a Babboe mechanic. The first service by a Babboe mechanic can
be ordered online through the website. Keep the data from the first servicing, in case they
need to be consulted for warranty issues.
Maintenance
Babboe cargo bikes are made with high-quality parts, however maintaining your Babboe
cargo bike is important. Regularly lubricate moving parts and ensure that the cables
remain flexible, e.g. during frost. A maintenance log is located at the back of this manual.
Keep the service and maintenance receipts for warranty purposes. Please refer to our
website (www.babboe.co.uk) for extensive maintenance tips.
Maintenance of the wooden box
The box is resistant to the Dutch climate. However, we still recommend that you always
use a rain cover, rain tent or cargo bike cover. This will protect the box against the
elements. Children getting in or out of the cargo bike can also cause damage to the box.
Damage to the paint makes the wood more vulnerable to moisture. If damage occurs on
the flat surfaces or top parts, treat it with a clear coating of varnish suitable for outdoor
use. This will prevent moisture from penetrating into the wood.
