ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Disposal of electrical devices
This device is subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electric
and electronic equipment (WEEE), which states that used electrical household
appliances
must not be disposed of as general municipal waste. This
type of used equipment must be sorted and collected separately from other household
waste in order to increase the proportion of recovered equipment and their constituent materials
for recycling. The aim here is to reduce any negative effects on human health and the
environment. The symbol showing a crossed out wheelie bin is displayed on all equipment as a
reminder that these items must be disposed of separately. The consumer should contact the local
bodies responsible for the collection of waste (e.g. authorised waste collection companies or local
authority waste disposal facilities) or their representatives to find out how their equipment should
be disposed of properly. Please take care to follow the regulations that are currently in force. If you
are uncertain, contact your local authority waste disposal facility.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of as household waste.
Every consumer is required by law to hand in batteries and rechargeable batteries to
a collection point in their local community/district
or in a shop. This requirement serves to ensure that batteries will be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly way. Only hand in batteries and rechargeable batteries that are fully
discharged.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally friendly way. Remove the batteries before
disposing of the device.
