This device features a motor with a function that protects against pa-
per jams and overloads.
Do not use the shredder continuously for longer than
Limit continuous use of the device to a maximum of 2 minutes,
followed by a pause of at least 15 minutes with the device swit-
ched off. The motor switches off automatically when the device is
overloaded (after a minimum of 15 minutes).
The device switches off automatically when the maximum sheet capa-
city has been exceeded.
In either case, proceed as follows:
Unplug the device at the socket.
Wait at least 15 minutes until the overload protection has reset.
Remove any paper sticking out of the device by pulling it up and out
of the feed shaft (3).
Reconnect the device to the power supply and set the operating switch
(5) to REV.
Pull any remaining paper up and out of the feed shaft (3).
Switch the device back and forth between AUTO and REV as needed.
To return to standby mode, set the operating switch (5) to the AUTO
position.
