Fresh fries: max. 150 gr per liter oil or per 900 gr fat.
Delicate food, like croquettes, fish,...: only fill the bottom of the basket.
Caution: to avoid dangerous splashes always remove the exceeding ice from the
frozen fries.
Caution: NEVER hang the basket full of frozen food above the oil or the fat as
long as this is not warmed up to 130°C. This causes serious splashes.
8. Slowly plunge the basket so that the water in the food gets the chance to
evaporate.
Important: in order not to deteriorate the oil, NEVER add salt or spices before
or during the frying. NEVER defrost frozen food before frying.
9. Fryer with anti dust lid: NEVER fry with the lid on the fryer, and NEVER warm
up or cool the fryer with the lid on.
Fryer with filter lid: it is allowed to fry with the lid on the fryer.
10. When the fried food is ready, slowly pull the basket up and hang it in the
suspension hook.
11. Switch of the deep fryer: push the thermostat knob for about 5 sec. The lamp
turns off and a sound signal will be heard.
12. Pull the plug from the socket.
Remark: the deep fryer has a supplementary safety:
After 2 hours without any action (use of the thermostat knob), the deep fryer
switches off. In case of power failure or any other failure which implies an
interruption of the power, the deep fryer will switch off entirely. The deep fryer
will NOT restart when the power is back.
13. Only refold the handle of the basket when the oil is completely cooled down.
Finally roll the cord in the cord storage.
3.3. Frying time and temperatures
Clarification on pre-frying french fries: We advise to pre-fry fresh fries at 150°C.
ATTENTION: new harvest potatoes contain more water, so in this case we
recommend to pre-fry at 170°C. But if you use older potatoes, they will already
get brown/coloured during the first baking cycle.
