CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• The cord must always be removed and the thermostat disconnected before cleaning
commences.
• Allow all parts of the barbecue to cool fully before cleaning them.
• Clean the barbecue thoroughly and regularly. If the barbecue is used in especially
corrosive environments, for example, by the sea, it is even more important to clean
the barbecue often. Salt and moisture will break down the protective outer layer of the
barbecue, which can result in surface rust.
• When the barbecue is not in use, protect it from rain and contaminants under a barbecue
cover. This prevents surface rust and stops it from getting dirty.
• For long-term storage, such as during the winter, first clean the barbecue carefully
and then store it under a barbecue cover in a dry, dust-free environment.
CLEANING THE BARBECUE PLATE
• The cord must always be removed and the thermostat disconnected before cleaning
commences.
• Do not use sharp objects to clean the barbecue plate. They may damage the surface.
• It is not necessary to clean the barbecue plate after each use. Only remove residues
with a soft brush and then wipe with a paper towel.
• However, the barbecue should occasionally be cleaned more thoroughly. Use hot wa-
ter and a soft brush. Rinse with clean water and let it dry. Make sure that no electrical
parts come into contact with water.
CLEANING THE BARBECUE
• Clean the barbecue regularly. Wipe the barbecue with a damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
Make sure that no electrical parts come into contact with water. Do not use abrasive
cleaners.
• Empty and clean the grease cup after each barbecuing session.
• Note! The grease in the grease cup gets very hot during barbecuing - risk of burning!
Use oven gloves or similar.
