2 Putting the Telephone into Operation

Safety note
Caution: It is essential to read the safety information in Chapter 1 before pre-
paring the telephone for use.
Checking the package contents
The package contains:
− a base station with power adapter plug
− a handset
Connecting the base station
Caution: Position the base station with a minimum distance of at least 1 meter
to other electronic equipment because it could lead to mutual disturbance.
Connect the base station as illustrated in the diagram. For reasons of safety, only use the
power adapter plug and telephone connection cable supplied.

Connecting the charging station

Plug the power adapter plug in a properly installed mains power outlet.

Inserting the batteries

Open the battery compartment and insert the bat-
teries. Only use batteries of the type AAA Ni−MH
1.2 V. Pay attention to the correct polarity. Close
the battery compartment cover.
