can cause serious bodily injury or death.
∙ Only use the appliance in a well ventilated area. Do not
use it in a garage, porch, covered patio or under an over-
head structure of any kind.
∙ The appliance is not intended to be installed in or on rec-
reational vehicles and/or boats.

∙ WARNING! Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or re-
lighting! Use only firelighters complying to EN 1860-3.
∙ WARNING! This barbecue will become very hot, do not
move it during operation.
∙ Exercise reasonable care when operating the appliance.
∙ Never leave coals and ashes in grill unattended.
∙ Open the lid while lighting and getting the charcoal

∙ We recommend the use of a charcoal chimney starter. If
you choose to use charcoal lighting fluid, only use lighting
fluid approved for lighting charcoal.
∙ Do not use gasoline, alcohol or other highly volatile fluids
to light charcoal.
∙ Do not cook before the charcoal has a coating of ash,
when using charcoal lighting fluid. Allow charcoal to burn
with lid open (approx. 20 minutes). This will allow char-
coal lighting fluid to burn off. Failure to do this could trap
fumes from charcoal lighting fluid in the barbecue and
may result in a flash fire or explosion when lid is opened.
∙ Never use charcoal that has been pre-treated with lighter
fluid. Use only a high grade plain charcoal or charcoal/
wood mixture.
∙ Never add charcoal lighting fluid to hot or even warm
coals as flashback may occur causing severe burns.
∙ Never place more than 6.5 kg on the tray. Do not lean on
the tray. Do not lift grill using the tray.
∙ Do not exceed a temperature of 260 °C. Do not allow
charcoal and/or wood to rest on the walls of grill. Doing
so will greatly reduce the life of the metal and finish of
your grill.
∙ After each use, clean the grill thoroughly and reapply a
light coat of oil to interior to prevent rusting. Cover the
grill to protect it from excessive rusting.
∙ We advise to have a fire extinguisher at hand. Refer to
your local authority to determine proper size and type of
fire extinguisher.
∙ Store the grill out of reach of children and in a dry loca-
tion when not in use.

the lid is pushed all the way open. If lid is not fully open, it

∙ Lining the firebox with aluminium foil will obstruct the air
flow. Instead, use a drip pan to catch drippings from meat
when cooking by the indirect method.
