Two speaker pairs can be connected to the receiver to generate a surround sound effect.
For placement of the speakers, observe that the front speakers are located in front of you and the
surround speakers behind you.
The respective front and surround speakers should be at least 3 m apart for the best sound im-
pression.
All speakers should be at even intervals from you as well so that the runtime of the sound signal
between the speaker and ear is the same.
The front of the speaker should always be aligned towards you.
If you are using an external active subwoofer, it should be set up so that it is placed before you
between the front speakers. Since the human hearing finds it relatively hard to determine the
direction from which low sounds are coming, however, setup in a different location is possible as
well.

c) FM Aerial (FM)

At the FM aerial connection (see arrow above) for the FM station, you can connect the delivered cable
aerial or connect it to your cable connection (analogue stations only).
If you want to use the cable aerial (the enclosed black cable with the small plug), uncoil its entire length
and place it, e.g., horizontally or vertically along the wall.
To connect the receiver to a cable connection for analogue stations, you need a suitable aerial cable (not
enclosed, can be ordered separately).
Do not connect this socket to a satellite connection; the receiver may be damaged.
Observe that the receiver can only receive analogue radio transmitters (for reception frequency,
see chapter „Technical Data").

d) AM Aerial (AM)

You can connect the enclosed bracket aerial to the AM aerial connection (for MW stations). The polarity
of the two cables of the bracket aerial does not matter. If you do not want to listen to any MW stations, the
bracket aerial does not need to be connected.
