Function of the Unit
3.1
Initial operation
The place should be free of dust and color fog, well-tempered and opened for fresh
air. Do not place the vacuum pump near a heating or directly in the sunlight. In order
to ensure proper ventilation, the vacuum pump shall be positioned at least at 50 cm
from any obstacles. Select a dry and horizontal surface and prevent it from movement!
Before the setup of the machine you have to check the following points!
•
The surface for a low-pressure mounting must be not porous and must be flat and free of
cracks. This kind of mounting can't be use, if this is not the case.
•
Check the voltage, frequency and tension mentioned and compare with you own at side.
•
If the motor will not start within 5 seconds after switched on, you have to pull out the plug
immediately, motor and compressor to be checked carefully. The vacuum pump could be
blocked in such a case.
•
An often fall out of the motor could be a too small diameter of the cable which on a long dis-
tance of cable will deduct the power of the vacuum pump. The cable diameter should be at
least 1,5mm². Avoid pinching or kinking the supply cord and hose.
•
Check the water level in the water separator and empty it if necessary.
•
Wall outlet should be suitable for the power cord plug.
If any adaption is necessary, in accordance with local voltage requirements, have the plug
replaced by a qualified electrician.
Before carrying out the electric connection, make sure that the main switch is OFF,
position "0". Never stop the vacuum pump by unplugging it!
3.2
Motor protection switch
In the motor there is a motor protection switch built in. If that switch is getting in function for any
reason (over load, low-tension voltage, over heating caused by malfunctions) and cuts off pow-
er, you can start the machine again by pressing the release knob (previously wait about 5
minutes).
If this release knob cannot be fixed immediately you have to wait until the motor has cooled
down.
If the motor protection switch is getting often in function a specialist has to check it.
3.3
Pressure gauge
Regularly check the pressure gauge while you are working!
more than -0,8 bar: vacuum pressure is adequate
less than -0,8 bar: vacuum pressure is inadequate
Interrupt your work, as soon as the vacuum pressure is no longer adequate.
Check the system for leakage or kinks in the hose.
Let the caused damages be repaired by the manufacturer or an authorized service center (see
6.).
3.4
Water separator
Regularly check the water level in the water separator!
Built-in safety valve protects the pump from water being drawn into the pump when the water
container is full and the vacuum pressure will drop.
To empty the water separator see 5.
3.5
Switch off
•
Turn off the main switch (OFF).
•
Pull out the supply cord plug from the power outlet.
