5.4 Temperature Measurement
(UNITEST Hexagon 330 /
UNITEST Hexagon 340)
Prior to any temperature mea-
surement it has to be ensured
that the surface to be measu-
res is not live. Failure to com-
ply with this prescription can
lead to dangerous corporal
user injuries or cause instru-

tion selection switch.
❿ Connect
the
thermocouple
supplied to COM and Tem/

sockets by respec-
ting correct polarity.
❿ Select the desired measure-
ment type (°C/°F). Either C or F
is displayed for the respective-
ly selected type of measure-
ment.
❿ Connect the thermocouple to
UUT.
❿ Read the measurement result
displayed on the screen.
5.2 Resistance Measurement
Prior to any resistance measu-
rement it has to be ensured
that the resistor to be tested is
not live. Failure to comply with
this prescription can lead to
dangerous corporal user inju-
ries or cause instrument
damage. Additionally, foreign
voltages falsify the measure-
ment result.
❿ Select measurement range
/
via measurement fun-
ction selection switch.
❿ Connect the black test lead to
the COM socket and the red
test
lead
to
the
Temp/
/
/
socket.
❿ The resistance measurement
range is pre-selected. If the
symbol appears on the
display screen, the resistance
measurement range can be sel-
ected using key
.
❿ Connect the test leads to UUT.
❿ Read the measurement result
displayed on the screen.
