Connecting the cinch outputs

The CDJ-500T CD player is equipped with cinch outputs that enable it to be connected to
an amplifier or a mixing console.
To connect the cinch outputs only use suitable shielded cinch lines. Use of other
cables may result in serious malfunctions.
In order to avoid distortions or mismatches, which can cause damages to the device,
only attach amplifiers and mixing consoles with a cinch input to the cinch outputs.
Do not attach the cinch outputs to the PHONO inputs of amplifiers.
Take good note of the connection values in the "Technical data".
Connect the LINE OUT (35) cinch jacks of your CD player to the CD input jacks of your
amplifier or to the corresponding inputs of your mixing console.

Connecting the digital audio outputs

The CDJ-500T CD player is equipped with a coaxial digital audio output according to
SP/DIF, which enables the device to be connected to an amplifier or to a mixing console
which is provided with a suitable digital input.
To connect the coaxial digital output only use suitable shielded cables. Use of
other cables may result in serious malfunctions.
In order to avoid distortions or mismatches, which can cause damages to the device,
only attach amplifiers and mixing consoles with a coaxial digital input to the digital audio
output. Do not attach the digital audio output to
the analogue CD input of an amplifier.
Connect the DIGITAL OUT (36) digital audio
output of your CD player to the coaxial digital
input of your amplifier or to the corresponding
input of your mixing console.

The white cinch jack of the CD player
(marked with an "L") must be connected to
the left CD cinch input of the amplifier.
The red cinch jack of the CD player
(marked with an "R") must be connected to
the right CD cinch input of the amplifier.

Cueing
With the CDJ-500T you can set one favourite
and three storable cue points.
You can set a cue point by going into pause
mode by pressing the Play/Pause button (16).
CUE 1 can be activated when the CDJ-500T
player is both in playback and in pause mode.
CUE 1 can be saved again when the CDJ-500T
player is either in playback or in pause mode.
If you press the Cue (18) button in
playback mode, the player returns to
the track start or to the cue point and
goes into pause mode if no cue point
has been saved. If a cue point has
been saved previously, the player
returns the cue point and goes into
pause mode.
Now use the jog wheel (15) to search
for the desired cue point by frames.
Press the Cue button to save. By
pressing the Cue button and holding,
you return to playback mode until you
release the button. Then the player
returns the cue point and goes into
pause mode.
Press the Play/Pause button to return
permanently to playback mode.
First press the Memo button (27), and
continue to press the CUE 1 button
(29) to save. The button flashes 5
times. The same operational sequence
applies to the CUE 2 and CUE 3
buttons. After you have saved your
selections, you can return to each cue
point by pressing the CUE 1/2/3 (29)
buttons. The corresponding button
flashes slowly in order to show that the
cue point is being played back.
First press the Memo button (27), and
continue to press the CUE 1 button
(29) on the new selected point to save.
The button flashes 5 times. The same
operational sequence applies to the
CUE 2 and CUE 3 buttons.
