Brake
First press the Brake button (4) (The button flashes). When you press the Play/Pause
button (16), the playback speed changes slowly to pause mode. This simulates a record
player being switched off. If you press the PLAY / PAUSE button (16) again, the CDJ-
500T changes slowly to playback mode.
Relay
Use two CDJ-500T's together
Fine speed tuning
Activate the fine speed tuning by using the
PITCH button (6).
Special function of the pitch fader (13)

Connect the two devices via the
RELAY jack (33) using a 3.5 mm
stereo phone-type cable.
The first CDJ-500T must be in
playback mode, while the second
CDJ-500T must be in pause mode.
To activate the RELAY function,
press the RELAY button (7) of the
first CDJ-500T (the button flashes).
Now press the PLAY / PAUSE button
(16) of the first CDJ-500T to start the
second CDJ-500T automatically. Fine
speed tuning
Use the pitch range selection switch
(10) to select a range of +/- 8%, 16%,
32%. The corresponding LED light
flashes. Now use the pitch fader (13)
to change the speed of the CD
irrespective
of
level
within
the
selected range. The deviation from
the original speed will be shown on
the display.
The CDJ-500T can be controlled via
a mixing console. This function
requires a cable connection (3.5 mm
stereo phone-type cable) between
the mixing console and the REMOTE
(34) jack of the CDJ-500T.
If the volume of the mixing console is
set to zero or is set down, the CD
player stops. If the volume is turned
up, the CD player starts.

mechanical stress and strain.
Refer to a qualified technician if you are unsure about how to operate the device, or
about its safety or connection.
Do not leave the packaging material unattended. Plastic sheeting or bags, items made of
polystyrene, etc. can become a hazard if played with by children.
Only operate the device under supervision.
Take care to observe the safety and operation instructions of all peripheral devices
connected to your device.

The CDJ-500T CD player offers the following device characteristics:
• Playback of regular and single CDs
• Display of track number and the time elapsed of the track
• Reset display for track and entire CD, as well as memorized track sequence
• Direct track selection via the digital board
• Track and music browsing
• Pause function
• Loop for the repetition of a freely selectable cut-out.
• Repeat function for currently playing track or entire CD
• Intro scan for track start and track end (CUE function)
• Scratch effect, simulating the scratching of a vinyl record
• Flanger effect, filter effect working on high and medium frequencies
• Filter effect that leaves the high or the low peaks equal
• Reverse effect, which plays the CD backwards
• Pitch function which enables you to change the playback speed
• BPM display
• Relay function, which enables you to combine two CDJ-500Ts
• Brake function, which simulates the fade-in and fade-out of a vinyl record
• The analogue audio outputs comply with the cinch standard; the coaxial digital output
complies with the SP/DIF standard. Thus, compatibility with most amplifiers and
mixing consoles available on the market is guaranteed
• This device is equipped with a 10-second anti-shock/anti-impact memory
