2.2.1 TIEFENTLADESCHUTZ - PROTECTION AGAINST LOW-LEVEL DISCHARGE
Bei Unterschreitung der Akkumindestspannung schaltet die Elektronik die Pilotlampe bzw. den
Blitzbetrieb ab. Dadurch können die Akkus nicht tiefentladen werden, was der Lebensdauer zugute
kommt. Schalten Sie dann das Gerät aus und laden Sie es bald wieder auf.

2.3
PILOTLAMPE - PILOT LAMP
Die 10 Watt Pilotlampe erleichtert die Scharfeinstellung bei Verwendung von Spiegelreflexkame-
ras. Außerdem lässt sich mit ihr das Blitzgerät exakt auf die Bildmitte ausrichten, was bei Verwen-
dung von extremen Weitwinkelobjektiven wichtig ist. Zum Einschalten der Pilotlampe wird der
linke Drehschalter auf die Stellung "PILOT" gedreht. Dabei bleibt die Blitzbereitschaft erhalten.
Beim Nachladen der Kondensatoren durch den Wandler wird das Licht der Pilotlampe geringfügig
schwächer. Wenn der Akku seine Mindestspannung unterschreitet, wird die Pilotlampe automa-
tisch ausgeschaltet. Drehen Sie dann den linken Wahlschalter auf "OFF" und laden Sie das Blitz-
gerät möglichst bald wieder auf. Der Einschaltstrom der Pilotlampe wird erlektronisch begrenzt, so
dass sich eine Lebensdauer von weit über 1000 Stunden ergibt. Ein starker Stoß oder Fall kann die
Lampe allerdings beschädigen.
