Mode of operation:
The controller measures the currents (charge), flowing into the accu, and subtracts from it the
discharge currents. An internal clock determines approximately the self discharge of the accus
with storage, so that the display in the course of the time decreases continuously. In order to read
off the capacity display in the stocks status, the left selector must be switch briefly on „ON".
2.1.2 SELBSTENTLADUNG - SELF DISCHARGE
Auch bei Nichtbenützung des Geräts entlädt sich der NC-Akku. Nach ca. 6 Wochen ist der
Akku in Abhängigkeit von der Außentemperatur völlig entladen und geht dann in den Zustand
der Tiefentladung über, wodurch der Akku geschädigt wird.
Deshalb ist es empfehlenswert, nach ca. 6 Wochen in Verbindung mit dem Formieren des Kon-
densators (siehe Pflege und Wartung) das Gerät mit der Pilotlampe zu entladen und dann wieder
aufzuladen.

Lagern Sie das Gerät nie mit leerem Akku !
Even if you do not use the flash, the nc accumulator will discharge (the accu is empty after ca. 6
weeks); so that after storing the accumulator a long time it doesn't dispose of full capacity.
Therefore it is recommendable when forming the capacitor (see flash gun care and maintenance)
to discharge with the pilotlamp and recharge it afterwards.

2.1.3 LADEN VON DER AUTOBATTERIE - CHARGING WITH CAR`S BATTERY
Mit dem Autoladekabel (Zubehör Best. Nr. AKAB) können die Akkus direkt von der 12V Auto-
oder Schiffsbatterie geladen werden.
Achtung: Die Ladespannung darf 14,4 V nicht übersteigen.
It is possible to charge your accumulator with a 12 V car's battery or a 12 V ship's battery . For
this you need a car-cable for charging as a special accessories. (order nr. AKAB)
Attention: Loading voltage must not climb over 14,4 V.
2.2 EINSCHALTEN - SWITCH ON FLASHGUN
Wenn der linke Drehschalter in Position ON gebracht wird, schaltet sich das Gerät ein und lädt den
Kondensator auf. Nach 1-2,5 Sekunden (je nach Ausführung) leuchtet die rechte gelbe oder wei-
sse Leuchtdiode mit dem Blitzsymbol auf. Das Gerät ist dann betriebsbereit. Sollte diese
Leuchtanzeige nach ca. 4-6 Sekunden nicht aufleuchten, so ist das Gerät auszuschalten und am
Netz aufzuladen.
Switch on your flash-gun by turning left rotary switch to „ON"; the flash begins to work and the
capacitor is charged. After one to two seconds the yellow or white luminous-diode with the
flash-symbol lights up. Your flash-gun is ready for use.
If after approx. 4 sec. the loading light does not light up you have to switch off the apparatus and
charge it at the power-system.
