17.2. Error messages
The instrument has several error codes which are displayed in
case specific problems occur. All error codes are displayed as a
number in the touch screen. Measurements with an error will be
stored in the instruments memory including the respective error
code.
The following table lists the existing error codes, probable caus-
es and possible corrective activities:

Corrective activities
Strip was not identified as URYXXON
check strip
use only URYXXON
Some parameters were detected to be off limit, which may indicate dry test pads.
dip all test pads into the sample completely
Strip is not parallel to the side of the transport tray.
insert strip carefully
do not insert strip while transport rack is moving and the light is red
empty the waste container, which may cause jams if it is full
do not move transport tray during measurements
make sure transport rack is placed correctly on transport plate
A connected device cannot work with the instrument's data protocol (only bi-directional
communication)
only connect external devices that can communicate with the instrument
adjust the HW settings
Wrong reference pad value
turn the instrument off and on again
perform internal check
make a control measurement and check the result's accuracy
Stray light is causing problems during measurement
re-position the instrument so it is not exposed to direct sunlight or very bright light
sources
Mechanical resistance or a foreign object are disturbing the measurement
turn off the instrument, remove transport tray and carefully remove any objects obs-
tructing the mechanics
do not move the transport tray during measurements
Too many strips are in the waste container
remove transport tray and empty waste container
