MP3 FUNCTION

What is MP3?
MP3 is an audio compression mode using Level 3 of the
international MPEG standards. The sound signal is com-
pressed to a level of 12:1. An MP3 disc can comprise
600 minutes of music or more than 170 tracks.
Playing MP3s
File Menu for MP3 Playback
For the playback of an MP3 disc, two fi le menus can be
selected: „FILE LIST" and „FOLDER". Press the PROG
button to access them.
1. FILE LIST
Here the fi les which are to be played back can be
selected by pressing the UP/DOWN arrow buttons
in combination with the ENTER button. The fi les can
also be selected directly with the help of the number
buttons and then pressing the ENTER button.
2. FOLDER
Here the menu is initially displayed. With the help
of the arrow buttons (up, down, right, left) and the
ENTER button a submenu can be selected.

JPEG FILES

JPEG is the most common format standard for compres-
sing fi xed-image fi les.
Even if the images are compressed 15-20 times, their
quality is still good. Almost all image processing software
programs support JPEG. It is the ideal format for image
storage and very user-friendly. This device can read
Picture-CD fi les produced in JPEG format.
1. As soon a disc has been inserted the pictures are
played back in the form of a slide show.
2. When the STOP button is pressed an overview of the
pictures appears with 12 miniature images.
3. With the help of the arrow buttons you can move
through this overview and then select individual
pictures or menu functions using the ENTER button.
Once a certain image has been selected the slide
show continues from this point.
4. If you select the MENU item you will fi nd information
on which keys have been assigned to which func-
tions (additional functions).
Other Functions
1. With the REPEAT button it is possible to select
whether an individual picture should be played back
or whether one picture or all pictures should be
repeated.
2. In PLAY mode it is also possible to enlarge or reduce
the size of the images. To do so, please press the
ZOOM button. The ZOOM mode is now switched on.
Using the
or
buttons you can now increase
or reduce the size of the picture. Using the arrow
buttons you can now move the picture detail (cut-out
section). The ZOOM button switches this function off
again.
