R ecording is permissible in so far as copyright of other
rights o f third parties a re infringed.
T his deck is not suitable for recording on C HR O ME (IE C II)
or ME TAL (IE C IV ) type cassettes. For recording, use
NO R MAL type cassettes (IE C I) on which the tabs have not
been broken.
T he best recording level is set automatically. Altering the
V O LU ME c ontrol will not affect the recording in progress.
At the very beginning and end of the tape, no recording will
take place during 7 seconds, when the leader tape passes
the recorder heads.
To protect a tape from accidental erasure, have the tape in
front of you a nd break out the left tab.
R ecording on this side is no longer possible. To record over
this side again, cover the tabs with a piece of adhesive
tape.

1. Tune to the d esired radio s tation.
2. Press S TO P/E J E C T to o pen the c assette d oor.
3. I nsert a suitable c assette into the c assette d eck and c lose the c assette d oor.
4. Press R E C O R D to s tart recording.
5. For brief interruptions, p ress PA U S E . To resume recording, p ress PA U S E a gain.
6. To s top recording, p ress S TO P/PA U S E .

1. S lide the F U NC T IO N selector to C D .
2. I nsert the C D y ou want to record.
3. I nsert a suitable c assette into the c assette d eck and c lose the c assette d oor.
4. Press R E C O R D to s tart recording. T he PLAY and R E C O R D buttons a re d epressed together.
5. Press C D PLAY /PA U S E button. T he recording level is set automatically.
6. To s top recording, p ress the c assette S TO P/PA U S E .

Tape d eck maintenance.
To e nsure q uality recording a nd playback of the tape d eck,clean part A, B a nd C s hown in the d iagram below
after approx. 50 hours of operation, or on average once a month. U se a cotton bud slightly moistened with
alcohol or a special head c leaning fluid to c lean the d eck.
1. O pen the c assette d oor by p ressing S TO P/E J E C T .
2. Press PLAY a nd c lean the rubber pressure rollers C .
3. Press PA U S E a nd c lean the magnetic heads A a nd a lso the C apstan B.
4. After cleaning, p ress S TO P/E J E C T .
