Disposal: All packaging must be disposed appropriately.
Electrical equipment must be disposed at recycling collec-
tion points for scrap electrical and electronic equipment.
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act relating to
the disposal of electrical equipment does not apply in this
instance. Rechargeable and single-use batteries must be
disposed of in accordance with § 12 of the German Bat-
tery Ordinance (BattV), either by the manufacturer or at
an appropriate collection point. Electrical equipment and
batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
Compatibility: When assembling a system consisting of
various devices that are made by different manufacturers,
the system compatibility must be tested and approved by
the contractor to ensure the system's safe function during
the operation.
Equipment modification in order to achieve compatibility
must be authorised by the manufacturer.
Conformity: We hereby confirm that the equipment
complies with the recognised rules of engineering. An EC
Conformity Declaration for the electrical equipment may
be requested from the manufacturer. Note: If the equip-
ment (e.g., drive unit) is part of a machine within the terms
of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, this does not
render the supplier/contractor exempt from informing the
customer with regard to the necessary installation instruc-
tions, labelling, documentation, and certificates relevant to
this directive.
Warranty: The "ZVEI Green Supply Conditions" are taken
as agreed upon.
The warranty period for the material supply is 12 months.
Any intervention with the equipment or system that is not
authorised by the manufacturer will render all liability,
warranty, and service null and void.
Liability: Product changes and settings may be modified
without prior notice. All illustrations are non-binding. In
spite of the greatest care that has been taken, the manu-
facturer cannot be held liable for contents of this docu-
mentation.
Electrical safety
Only a certified electrician shall be permitted to perform
wiring and electrical connections. All 230/400 V AC mains
supply lines must be provided separately by the customer.
Compliance with the relevant laws, provisions, regulati-
ons, and standards is mandatory, e.g., the German direc-
tive relating to fire safety of conduit installations (MLAR/
LAR/RbALei), VDE 0100 (installation of high voltage
circuits up to 1000 V), VDE 0815 (installation of cables
and wiring), and VDE 0833 (fire, burglary, and invasion
alarm systems).
If necessary, cable types must be defined in conjunction
with the local approval bodies, power supply companies,
or fire safety authorities.

Cabling for extra-low voltages (e.g., 24 V DC) is to be
routed separately from low-voltage line (e.g., 230 V AC).
Flexible cables must be laid in such a way that they
cannot be sheared off, twisted, or bent during operation.
Power supplies, control devices, and junction boxes must
be accessible for maintenance purposes. Cabling types,
lengths, and cross-sections must comply with technical
guidelines.
Before proceeding with any work on the system,
the mains current and emergency power supply (e.g.,
rechargeable batteries) must be disconnected from all
terminals and secured to prevent accidental restart. Never
operate the drive units, control devices, control elements,
sensors on supply voltages, and connections contrary to
the guidelines provided in the operator manual. There is a
risk of fatal injury, and components may be destroyed!
Mechanical safety
Falling window casements: Window casements must be
installed such, if the mounting elements fail, the design
prevents the unit from falling or moving in an uncontrolled
way, e.g., by providing double hanging, security retainer,
safety catch. Please note: In order to prevent obstruction/
dropping of the window, the security retainer/safety catch
must be compatible with the intended opening span and
mechanism of the window. Also refer to the directive for
power-operated windows, doors and gates (BGR 232),
and the ZVEI brochure "RWA Update No. 3, Power-opera-
ted windows".
Fittings and fitting material: Fitting materials required or
supplied with the product must be adapted to the struc-
tural component and relevant load, and if necessary,
modified.
Crush and shear points:
Power-operated windows, doors and gates: Any
crush and shear hazard areas, e.g., between the case-
ment and frame, or skylight and base, must be secured to
prevent pinching using appropriate measures to prevent
such injury. Also refer to the directive for power-operated
windows, doors and gates (BGR 232), and the ZVEI bro-
chure "RWA Update No. 3, Power-operated windows".
Accident prevention regulations and rules and regulations
by the of the German Employer´s Liability Insurance As-
sociation: When working on, inside, on top of a building,
or part thereof, compliance with the appropriate accident
prevention regulations (UVV) and the German Employer´s
Liability Insurance Association (BGR) are mandatory.
Environmental conditions: Any impact must be avoided.
The product must not be dropped, exposed to vibrations,
moisture, aggressive vapours, or harmful environments;
unless, it has been approved for one or several of those
environmental conditions by the manufacturer.
