3. Description

The pumps are equipped with a robust single-phase motor .
All pumps are fitted with a 10 m main supply cable- The standard voltage is 230 V / 50 Hz single-phase. Other
voltages are available on demand (Please check the voltage written on the type plate).
- This appliance must be connected to an earthed outlet.
- Operation on a residual current device (RCD) of 30 mA capacity is recommended.
- Do not lower or raise the pump with the power cable.
A demaged power cable must be replaced immediately by a qualified electrician.
Danger of personal injury by electrical shock if operated with a demaged cable!
Caution!
- Greatest care should be exercised by using electrical pumps in swimming pools and similar installations
(i. e. ponds).
Before using the pump ensure the installation fully complies with DIN VDE 0100 part 702 or the
current edition of the IEE wiring regulations - BS 8771, and other local legislation.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

4. Installation and commencement of operation

Before installing and starting please check the pump at possible demages (i.e. during trans
port) to prevent personal injury by electrical shock.
The pump can be used only on firm, flat and level ground. Plastic sheet or other flexible material is drawn into
the suction openings, this may block the strainer, also mud and other fibrous material.
If the pump is installed in a sump, the minimum dimension should be 450 x 450 x 450 mm, otherwise the float
switch (version A) could foul the sump wall.
This float switch starts and stops the pump automatically.
The shaft sealing is cooled and lubricated by the pumped liquid. So the pump should not run dry,
otherwise the seals will be damaged.

5. Service / Maintanance

Caution!
- Always disconnect from power before servicing!
Service and repairs at all electrical parts of the pump (cable, float switch, built-in motor) has to be done
by authorized service companies or manufacturer.
Rinse pump throughly with clear water after every use.
