Deactivating the security function

Open the special menu as described further up.
When the security function is activated, the
"Security: * * * *" line appears.

Enter the four-digit code with the numeric keys.

After entering the correct code number, the
"Security : . . . ." line appears.

key to deactivate the security func-

tion and to clear the code number.
Have you forgotten your code number?
If you should have forgotten your code number,
proceed as follows.

Switch on the receiver from stand-by, for example,
by pressing the ] key.
With the security function activated,
"Security : . . . ." appears on red background on the
picture screen.
Press one after the other the keys

The message "Security : . . . . gelöscht" appears
briefly on the picture screen.
The code number is cleared and the security func-
tion is deactivated.

Changing the Modulator Channel

the modulator between 21 and 60 in the "Modula-
tor" menu line.

to store the setting.

The TV set must be set to the same channel (see
point 6 on page 8).
Volume
The special function "Volume" allows for adjusting
the volume of the satellite programmes to the
volume of the terrestrial programmes. This adjust-
ment is global – it is not possible for individual pro-
gramme positions.

Display Brightness
With this function, you can adjust the display
brightness of the receiver.

Software Version
The software version of your receiver is indicated in
the "Software" menu line. This indication is of inte-
rest for the dealer and the service personnel only.
Datalink
It is possible to transfer the data stored in one
STR 600 AP to another STR 600 AP.
For this, connect the MEGALOGIC SAT sockets of
both receivers with a Cinch cable. (See Figure on
page 5).
Connect both receivers to the power supply and
switch them on.
The menu of the transmitting receiver must be clo-
sed ("
Menue
" must not be visible in the display
of the receiver).
The target receiver must not be in stand-by.
Press the q key for 5 seconds on the sending
receiver (whose data is copied).
During the data transfer, " Sende " appears in the
display of the sending transmitter, and " Empfang "
in the display of the target receiver.
The data transfer takes about 9 minutes.
If " Fehler " (Error) appears in the display, check
the connection of the Cinch cable and repeat the
transmission.
