The remote control comes with a button cell battery and is ready for im-
mediate use.
If the remote control stops working, or you notice a drop in the reception
range, follow the instructions below to change the battery.
• Loosen the screws on the battery compartment cover, and then remove
the cover from the remote control.
• Remove the used battery and insert a new battery of the same type (see
"Technical data"). The positive pole must point upwards.
• Screw the battery compartment cover back onto the remote control. Be
careful not to squash the seal.

11. Connecting external devices

a) Connecting the camera to a computer
The battery charges automatically when the camera is connected
to a computer.
• Connect the USB cable to the USB input (7).
• Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB port on your computer.
• The camera will turn on and your computer will automatically install the
necessary drivers.
• A list of mounting options will be displayed (mass storage medium or com-
puter camera).
• Select the desired option and press the trigger button (1).
