• Do not connect the product to the power supply immediately after it has
been transferred from a cold room into a warm one (e.g., during transport).
The condensation that forms might destroy the device. Moreover, there is
danger of electric shock!
Allow the device to reach room temperature before switching it on. Wait
until the condensation has evaporated. This might take several hours.
Only after this should it be installed, connected to the mains supply and
put into use.
d) Handling, operation
• Use the product only in a temperate climate and not in a tropical climate.
• Do not use the product if it is damaged. There is a risk of a life-threatening
electric shock!
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the product
must be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not
used unintentionally. Do not touch the product.
First switch off the mains voltage to all poles (switch off the connected cir-
cuit breaker or remove the fuse and then switch off the connected RCD).
After this, arrange for a skilled electrician to check the product.
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (where there is flicker-
ing light, leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises,
or discolouration of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions

Preparations for installation

Please consult the section: "Safety instructions"!
• Only install the LED floodlight on a stable surface. Use screws and plugs that are
suitable for the surface. Only use the LED floodlight when it has been securely
mounted.
• The ceiling-mounted LED floodlight must be installed so that it is out of the reach of
children.
• The LED floodlight must be protected on the sub-distribution board by a 10/16 A-
fuse. An earth fault circuit interrupter must be installed before this (FI protective
switch).
• The LED outdoor floodlight must be voltage-free during installation. It is not sufficient
to just turn off the light switch!
Switch off all the poles of the mains cable by removing the corresponding fuse or
switching off at the circuit breaker. Then, switch off the associated earth fault cir-
cuit interrupter (breaker). Secure it against unauthorised reconnection, e.g., with a
danger sign.
• Check that the mains leads are without current, e.g., by means of an appropriate
tester.

Installation and connection

Pay attention to the information in chapter "Preparations for installation"!
• The LED outdoor floodlight can be fixated with the holding bracket using one or
several suitable screws.
To adjust the angle of slope of the LED floodlight, loosen the Allen head
screws at the left and right of the holding bracket slightly.
When drilling mounting holes or fastening into place, ensure that no existing
electrical cable, gas or water pipes are damaged.
• For the LED outdoor floodlight connection to power supply, a suitable terminal box or
socket is required (both not included in the delivery).
Depending on the installation location of the LED floodlight, the terminal box/socket
must have the appropriate IP protection class.
• Connect the mains cable using the terminals of the LED floodlight (brown cable =
L/phase, blue cable = N/neutral line, green/yellow cable = PE/earth conductor,
earthing symbol).
The protective earth wire must be connected!
If the LED floodlight is replacing an existing light and no protective earth
conductor is available, the LED floodlight must not be installed. First, draw a
new mains cable with protective earth.
Where the protective earth is not connected, a fault with the mains voltage
might result in the metal housing of the LED floodlight becoming live. There
is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Make sure only the minimum required length of the cable is stripped; other-
wise it could cause a short circuit.
• Switch on the mains voltage again and make sure that the LED floodlight is func-
tioning.
If the LED outdoor floodlight is not lit up, switch off the mains voltage imme-
diately from all poles (take out the fuse or switch off the automatic cut-out,
switch off the earth fault circuit interrupter).
Then check the connection for the LED floodlight.
In case of doubt, contact a professional (e.g. an electrician)!
If orientation of the LED outdoor floodlight beam should be changed, switch
off the mains voltage first so that the LED floodlight housing is able to cool
down.
Loosen the Allen head screws at the left and right of the holding bracket.
Then, adjust the orientation of the LED floodlight as desired and re-tighten
the Allen head screws.

Maintenance and cleaning

The product is maintenance-free. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by
a specialist. The LED is permanently installed and cannot be replaced.
Before cleaning, turn off the mains voltage for the LED outdoor floodlight and let it cool
down sufficiently.
You can use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. In case of heavier soiling, you can
moisten the cloth with clean water.
Do not use aggressive, chemical or scouring cleaning agents, as this may lead to dis-
colouration or scratch marks.
Never direct a stream of water from a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner onto
the LED floodlight!
Disposal
The product must not be disposed of with the household waste.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life in accordance with
the current statutory requirements; e.g., return it to any suitable collection
point.
