Outdoor LED wall lamp „Elda"

Intended use
The outdoor LED wall lamp can be used to illuminate indoor and outdoor areas. The
product is intended for installation on a wall.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these op-
erating instructions!
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and
involves the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may
be modified or converted!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All

Explanation of Symbols, Inscriptions
The lightning symbol inside a triangle is a warning to inform you of potential
risks of personal injury, such as electrical shock.
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and
use.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The light cannot be dimmed.
Observe the operating instructions!
Safety Instructions
R ead the complete operating manual carefully before using the product, as
it contains important information about the proper installation and opera-
tion.
T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to
observe these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
resulting damage!
W e shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instruc-
tions! The warranty will be void in such cases!
Caution!
T he product may be installed only by a qualified technician (electrician)
who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g., VDE, German electrical
wiring regulations).
I mproper work carried out at the mains voltage endangers not only your
life, but also the life of others!
I f you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself, but entrust the work to a qualified electrician.
• Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not
allowed for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The outdoor LED wall lamp is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach
of children! There is danger of a life-threatening electric shock! Install the
outdoor LED wall lamp in such a way that it cannot be reached by children.
• The outdoor LED wall lamp may be operated only on the mains volt-
age (see section "Technical Data"). Never try to operate the product at
another voltage, as this will cause its destruction.
• The outdoor LED wall lamp is designed according to Protection Class I; the
protective earth conductor must be connected.
If mains supply with a protective earth conductor is not available at the
place of installation, the outdoor LED wall lamp must not be connected/
used there. In this case, install a new mains supply with a protective earth
conductor.
During installation, all poles must be disconnected from the mains voltage
via a cut-off device (e.g., an RCD).
• The outdoor LED wall lamp may be installed and operated indoors and
outdoors. However, never install it in water.
• The outdoor LED wall lamp may not be operated using a dimmer.
• Do not mount or use the outdoor LED wall lamp in rooms, or under adverse
environmental conditions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are
or may be present! There is a risk of explosion!
• Use the outdoor LED wall lamp only when it is permanently installed.
Never install the outdoor LED wall lamp in vehicles.
• Do not install or attach objects (e.g. decorative material) to the outdoor
LED wall lamp.
• Caution, LED light: Do not look directly into the LED light! Do not look into
the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• The outdoor LED wall lamp must not be exposed to extremes of tempera-
ture, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible,
disconnect the outdoor LED wall lamp immediately and secure it against
inadvertent operation. After this, arrange for an expert to check the out-
door LED wall lamp.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the outdoor LED wall lamp has visible damage
- the outdoor LED wall lamp does not work at all or works poorly (where
there is flickering light, leaking smoke or a burning smell, audible crack-
ling noises, or discolouration to the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the outdoor LED wall lamp was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operat-
ing Facilities are to be observed.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical department or another specialist.
Preparations for Installation
Please consult the chapter "Safety Instructions"!
• Install the outdoor LED wall lamp only on a stable surface. Use screws and plugs
that are suitable for the surface. Use the outdoor LED wall lamp only when it is per-
manently installed.
• The LED outdoor wall light must be installed and used out of the reach of children.
• The outdoor LED wall lamp must be protected on the distribution board by a 10/16 A
fuse. An earth fault circuit interrupter must be installed before this (FI protective
switch).
• The outdoor LED wall lamp must be voltage-free during installation. It is not suf-
ficient to just turn off the light switch.
Turn the power off and ensure that none of the poles is live by removing the electric
circuit's fuse or switching off at the circuit breaker. Then, switch off the associated
earth fault circuit interrupter (breaker). Secure it against unauthorised reconnec-
tion, e.g., with a danger sign.
• Check that the mains cable is free of current, e.g., with an appropriate tester.
