Application:
The AR-400 is a specialist loudspeaker licensed by Dolby Laboratories and
developed for use as a ceiling reflection system in a home cinema setup with
Dolby Atmos
technology. The reflection off the ceiling creates sound events
®
above the listener to produce the effect of a three-dimensional sound.
In addition, the AR-400, mounted on the wall beneath the ceiling, can also
be used as a high quality sound effect speaker (e.g. a front high speaker). In
a stereo setup the AR-400 acts as a direct main speaker and can be used in
connection with a subwoofer as a stereo satellite. In this case the AR-400 is
mounted on the wall above ear height with the tweeter facing down.
Setup:
To use the AR-400 as a ceiling reflection speaker in a system with Dolby
Atmos
technology simply position it on your front resp. rear speakers. The

fabric cover must point upwards and the narrow side of the cabinet must
point in the direction of the listener. The optimal sound experience is created
with a ceiling height of between 2.20 and 3.70 metres. For the perfect setup
please refer to the instructions of Dolby Laboratories at www.dolby.de and
read the instructions of your control unit to ensure the correct setup of the
device.
The bracket built into the cabinet makes it easy to mount the AR-400 on the
wall with a single screw. For stable wall installation we recommend that the
