Troubleshooting

· In the event of faults, check:
– presence of current,
– fuel supply (quantity, opening of
valves),
– control components.
If the fault persists:
· Remove the cover A4.
· Check light signals of control unit
and their symbols described in table
here below.
Fault
Burner fails to start after thermostatic
shutdown.
Control unit gives no fault signal.
Burner runs very briefly when
energized, then stops and emits the
signal:

Burner moves to malfunction mode at
end of safety time and emits the

To find out what other information
shown by the unit mean, specific
equipment is available and is suited to
the SH 113 and SH 213 units.
Safety components must not be
repaired but replaced by similar items.

Use only original spare parts.
Cause
Decrease or absence of supply voltage.
Control unit defective.
Control unit stopped intentionally.
Loss of flame while in operation.
Parasitic flame during preventilation or
pre-ignition time.
No flame at end of safety time.

Remarks:
After each intervention:
· Check combustion, plus absence of
leaks in the different systems.
· Carry out the safety checks.
· Note the results in the appropriate
documents.
Corrective action
Check origin of decrease or absence of
voltage.
Replace control unit.
Reset control unit.
Clean, replace flame monitor.
Reset combustion.
Replace control unit
Clean or replace electric valve, or
pump if integral electric valve.
Check fuel-oil level in tank.
Open valves.
Check, reset pressure if boost.
Check pump operation and pressure,
and its coupling, filter and electric
valve.
Check ignition circuit, electrodes and
setting of electrodes.
Clean electrodes.
If necessary, replace:
electrodes;
ignition cables,
transformer,
nozzle.
