Flashing
If in byte 0 bit 5 is set, the whole display will flash. With ASCII data format also
individual characters may flash. For this purpose, the corresponding bits in byte 1
(characters C6...C1) are to be set.
The flashing of the total display has priority over the flashing of individual characters.
Blanking
If in byte 0 bit 6 is set, the display will be blank. Blanking has priority over flashing.
Reduction of display bringhtness
If in byte 0 bit 4 is set, the brightness of the display will be reduced.
Decimal point
A decimal point can be set in menu item A.
The decimal point can also be activated via the Profibus interface. With the integer
data format the corresponding bits are to be set in byte 0 and with the ASCII data
format in the bytes 0 and 1. In menu item A the setting 0 (no fixed decimal point) is to
be selected.
A decimal point set in menu item A has priority over a decimal point activated via the
Profibus interface.
Leading zero suppression
In menu item C one can set whether leading zeros are to be displayed or
suppressed.
Display test
In menu item F one can set whether a display test is automatically carried out after
power-on.
The display test can also be activated via the Profibus interface by setting bit 7 in
byte 0.
Display test has priority over blanking and the flash function.
