Monitor display
The monitor display corresponds to the main display during normal operation. It
makes it possible to read the displayed values also on the back of the unit.
In menu mode, the monitor display represents a menu which serves to parameterize
the units and which is operated via the menu buttons (see 'Parameterization').
Warning
In Profibus-systems bus errors can cause damage to personal or material
property. Please bear in mind, that activating the menu while operating
Profibus units may cause a bus error.
Status indicators
The status indicators (LEDs) on the back of the unit have the following function:
PWR
The Profibus interface is supplied with power.
BUS
The unit is parameterized on the bus and recognized as participant.
DATA
Short flashing: The information to be displayed is being updated.
Control
The units must be parameterized before they can be controlled. Parameterization
occurs in a menu (see 'Parameterization').
In menu item 1, choose whether the data is to be interpreted as unsigned Integer,
signed Integer, in 16-bit or 24-bit mode or as ASCII codes.
