Preparation
1.
Prepare a cross-head screw driver.
2.
Read this instruction manual carefully before installation and use. Keep this instruction manual and warranty card in a proper
and safe place for future use in case needed.
Installation
1.
Put the main body upside down (Fig. A). Slide Deco. Board (#6) onto Base Bracket (#5). Then slide Base Cover (#4), Base
(#3) and Washer (#2) onto Base Bracket (#5) respectively.
2.
Fix Washer (#2), Base (#3), Base Cover (#4) and Base Bracket (#5) with Screw M6*20 (#1).
3.
Stand the unit correctly (Fig. B). Fix L-Bracket (#8) onto Alum. Fixtures (#7) with Screw M8*6 (#9) & M4*6 (#10) respectively.
Then slide L Bracket (#8) into the holes of Control Box (#11).
4.
Fix L-Bracket (#8) onto Control Box (#11) with Screw M6*16 (#12).
Operation
1.
Plug the unit into a socket. Make sure the power supply is the same as rated.
2.
Press LED Lighting Switch to switch the LED lighting on or off.
Press heater switch to position "–" to switch on the heater directly. Press heater switch to position "="; the infrared sensors
3.
are activated. Sub-heating element is switched on immediately. Infrared sensor indicator LED starts to flash. When people or
other objects are within the sensing area (within about 0.6M around the heater body), the infrared sensor indicator LED lights
up, and the main heating element is switched on automatically, while the sub-heating element is switched off automatically.
When people or other objects leave the sensing area, the main heating element is switched off after 5 seconds, while the sub-
heating element is switched on again automatically. The infrared sensor LED starts to flash again.
4.
Note: The infrared sensing distance may differ due to different materials and colours. Reflecting or mirrored material around
the unit, i.e. glass mirror, stainless steel mirror, aluminum mirror, etc, may extend the sensing distance to 3.5m.
Caution
1.
The unit must be placed with a clearance of at least 150cm to the wall.
2.
The unit must be securely placed on a horizontal and flat surface.
3.
The unit reaches high temperatures during operation. It remains hot for a period after shut down. Potential danger would occur
when touching it during this period.
4.
Do not place the unit close to curtains and/or other flammable objects, because of the risk of these objects catching fire.
5.
Do not cover the unit with anything during operation or a short time after shut down.
6.
Do not wrap the power supply cord around the unit.
7.
The unit must be handled with care. Avoid vibrations or impacts.
8.
The unit must be securely grounded during operation.
9.
When damaged, the unit must be repaired by professional service personnel.
10. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
11. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket.
12. When assembling, keep clear from any board or flammable material.
13. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk
exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
14. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
15. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
16. The unit is for household use only. It is not allowed to use on a building site, in greenhouses, a barn or a stable where there is
flammable dust.
17. The head of the unit reaches high temperatures during operation. Unplug the unit and wait until it has cooled down before
cleaning.
18. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
19. Do not use this unit in places where causticity or volatile air exists, i.e. dust, steam, gas, etc.
20. Do not use this unit as a cloth drier or towel drier.
21. Do not use this unit as a sauna heater.
22. Do not use this unit as a room heater.
23. Do not use this unit in a place suited for animal propagating and raising.
24. Do not use this unit in a heating system.
25. Do not immerse this unit into water for cleaning.
26. The unit should be plugged in a socket which is easily visible and reachable.
27. Two dark points may appear on the surface of the heating elements, or the surface of the heating element may turn white
during the first few minutes after it is turned on. This is normal, and will not affect the performance of the unit.
