Proper Use

Important: Auerswald products are not designed, manufactured,
or intended for use or resale, in environments that require fail-
safe performance, such as in the operation of life-support sys-
tems and/or nuclear facilities. Our products may only be used for
these purposes with prior written permission from Auerswald in
each individual case.
Important: Improper use may, for example, cause functional
restrictions or interference, the destruction of the device or, in a
worst-case scenario, personal injury.
If you are still uncertain about how to use the product properly
after reading the chapter below, please contact your special-
ised dealer.
Read the instructions for the device and keep them for future
reference.
The COMfortel WS-R2/R4 are IP-DECT repeaters.
The WS-R2/R4 increases the range of a COMfortel WS-Base, or
a COMfortel WS-400 IP (Multi).
Up to 3 repeaters can be configured per COMfortel WS-Base (cir-
cularly around the base or in series) and up to 3 repeaters per
COMfortel WS-400 IP (Multi).
The WS-Base is designed to be used in closed, dry rooms.
Important: You need the following components to set up the
WS-R2/R4:
Repeater programming kit

ServiceTool (programming software)

You can obtain the repeater programming kit from specialist deal-
ers.
You will find the ServiceTool programming software on the Inter-
net.
