Preparations for Installation
If the door where you want to install the peephole monitor already has a conventional peephole, it is usually
very easy to replace the old peephole with the new one.
If the door does not have a peephole, you have to install the peephole enclosed. Therefore, you have to drill
a matching hole in the door.

Getting Started and Installation
• Open the battery compartment cover, on the back of the peephole monitor.
• Insert two batteries type AA/Mignon paying attention to the correct polarity into the battery compartment
(observe the illustration in the battery compartment).
• Close the battery compartment.
• Unscrew the peephole sleeve from the peephole lens.
• Replace the old peephole in your door with the new one.
Insert the peephole lens into the hole from the outside of the door. Place the plastic retainer on the inside
of the door and screw it tightly onto the peephole sleeve on the lens.
When you use a 12 mm peephole, you have to attach the supplied washer so the plastic retainer can be
attached.
• Screw the peephole sleeve fi rmly into place, using the enclosed installation spanner.
Please pay attention so the labelling "STOP" on the plastic retainer points upwards.
• Finally, attach the peephole monitor to the plastic retainer. By rotating the peephole monitor to the right, it
will lock on to the plastic retainer.
Inserting/Removing the Memory Card
You can insert a memory card on the left side of the peephole monitor in order to save pictures of the visitors.
For this, you need either a microSD memory card (max. 2GByte) or a microSDHC memory card (max.
32GByte). A memory card is not included, but one can be ordered separately.
If you want to remove the memory card, please wait until the peephole monitor is turned off. Only then extract
the memory card. Otherwise, data may be lost or the data system damaged. It may then be necessary to
reformat the memory card on your computer.
Setting the date and time
When pictures are saved, each picture is marked with the date and time it was taken.
To set date and time, proceed as follows:
• Turn on the peephole monitor, by pressing the Power key for about 1 second, so the picture appears on
the monitor.
• Press the key "S" on the side for about 2 seconds and the date and time will be
shown on the display.
• Using the keys "S" and "F" you can choose between "Set" (Activate set mode)
or "Exit" (Exit set mode).
Press the Power key for confi rmation.
• When you have activated the set mode, the year blinks on the display. Set the
year using the keys "S" and "F".
• Press the Power key, the setting is confi rmed and you are now able to set month,
date, hour, minute and second, one after the other.
After setting the seconds and pressing the Power key, the display will show
"Done". Press the Power key again in order to exit the set mode. The camera's
picture reappears.
If you live in a rented apartment, please ask your landlord for permission fi rst. Some landlords
will drill the hole in the door and install the peephole monitor for their tenants.
If you install the peephole monitor without consulting your landlord fi rst, you may have to under-
take the costs for restoring the door or sacrifi ce part of the deposit when you move.
When there is no peephole, drill a suitable hole in the desired spot on the door (diameter 14 mm
or 12 mm, according to the supplied peephole, see the peephole's packing) For correct installa-
tion, the door should be between 40 mm and 69 mm thick)
If you want to screw on the peephole monitor, you can tighten the screw on the left side (see the
illustration in the chapter "Controls", Position 1).
