In the German part of the spare part list the technical data are marked with a code in [ ] brachets.
[1] Lenght, hight and width of the tool in mm. [2] Wight in kg. [3] Allowable maximum air
pressure. [4] Recommended operating air pressure. [5] Air consumption per cycle at 6 bar. [6]
Fasteners. [7] A-weighted single-event emission sound power level. [8] A-weighted single-event
emission sound pressure level at the workstation. [9] Vibrations.
[10] Magazine type
[11] Magazine capacity
[12] Compressed air supply
Noise emission
Noise tests for equipment and machinery were carried out in accordance with EN 24871 (ISO
4871), EN 12549, EN 27574-2, -3 (ISO 7574-2,-3), (see German spare parts list under figure
[7] A-weighted single-event sound-power level and [8] A-weighted single-event sound-pressure
level at place of work). These values are equipment-related characteristic values and do not
reflect the noise generation at the application site. The noise generation at the application site
depends for instance on the working environment, the workpiece, the workpiece support, the
number of driving operations etc. If necessary, individual noise-reducing measures should be
carried out in keeping with the conditions at the place of work and the nature of the workpiece.
Such measures might include placing the workpiece on sound-absorbing supports, preventing
the workpiece from vibrating by clamping or covering it, setting the minimum air pressure
required for the nail-driving process etc.
Vibration
This nail-driving unit does not generate vibration of the type associated with rotating power
tools. Rather, when the nail is driven into position, the hand-arm system is subjected to single
impact-type stress. The data relating to the vibration characteristic were ascertained in
accordance with ISO 8662-I 1 "Hand-held power tools, vibration measurement at the handle"
(vibration values are detailed under figure [9] in the German spare parts list).

Tool Operation

Trigger Systems
Depending on the particular application, tackers can be fitted with various trigger systems.
Single-Shot:
In Single-Shot mode, each tacking action has to be triggered individually.
Single-Shot with Safety Interlock:
In Single-Shot Interlock mode, both the trigger and the interlock have to be activated for each
tacking action. Each tacking action is activated by the trigger after the mouth of the device has
been placed on the point of application. No further tacking actions can then be triggered until the
trigger has returned to the initial position.
Single-Shot with Safety Sequence:
In Single-shot Safety Sequence mode, both the trigger and the interlock have to be activated for
each tacking action. Each tacking action is activated by the trigger after the mouth of the device
has been placed on the point of application. No further tacking actions can then be triggered until
the trigger and the safety interlock have been in the initial position.
Contact Trip:
In Contact Trip mode, both the trigger and the interlock have to be activated for each tacking
action, but the activation sequence is not fixed. Further tacking actions require only that the
trigger is held and the interlock activated, or vice versa.
Continuous Activation:
In Continuous Activation mode, tacking actions continue as long as the trigger is pressed.
Continuous Activation with Interlock:
In Continuous Activation with Interlock mode, the trigger and the interlock have to be activated
so that tacking can only be activated by the trigger when the mouth of the device is placed on the
tacking point, and continues as long as the trigger and the interlock are still activated.
On building sites when moving from one tacking point to another via stairways, laders or
scaffolding, or when closing cases or crates and applying shipping braces, tackers that have to
be fitted with a trigger interlock must only be operated with Single-shot with Safety Interlock or
Single-shot with Safety Sequence.
