10.4 Hydraulic connection of the meter
Volumeter V40
Volumeter V40 can be used to capture the flow rate in the
solar circuit.
The volumeter must be hydraulically connected in the solar or
heating return.
Take the flow direction into account when installing. Observe the
direction information on the volumeter.
To calm the air flow, leave at least 30 cm inlet/outlet path upstream
and downstream of the volumeter.
To avoid water hammer through cavitation in hydraulic systems,
we recommend filling the system with cold water and using air
separators. Water hammer and turbulent flow characteristics lead
to the destruction of the meter.

11. Operation with a controller
If the heat meter is connected together with a controller, the VBUS
master PCB must be replaced with the VBUS slave PCB. The VBUS
slave PCB is not part of the standard delivery.
11.1 conversion from master to slave
If several heat meters as cascade are connected to a datalogger
or PC, only replace the VBUS master PCBs of the heat meters with
subaddress 1 or higher for VBUS slave PCBs.
