5. Settings and prompts
For calculating the heat volume transferred, the heat meter takes
the dependence of the specific thermal capacity c and the density r
of the temperature and mixing ratio into account (access to saved
values). The heat meter calculates the heat volume transferred using
these parameters, the flow and return temperatures measured by
two precision temperature sensors, and the evaluation of impulses
from a volumeter.
The device can be installed in systems that use water or a water-
glycol mixtures as heat transfer medium. The proportion (in % by
vol.) in a system and the specification of the selected volumeter
(in litres per pulse) are adjusted according to the installation of
the device on site.
6. Display and adjustable parameters
6.1 Display parameters
The following parameters can be shown as standard displays:
— VL
Flow temperature in °C
— RL
Return temperature in °C

— Heat volume

in Wh or kWh

— Flow rate

in l/h
— Output
in kW
6.2 adjustable parameters
The following parameters can be freely adjusted. The parameters
marked with an asterisk must be checked during commissioning
and matched if necessary.
— Type of anti-freeze*
— Anti-freeze content (display for ethylene only)
— Pulse value
— Subaddress
— BUS mode
— BUS master (display for cascades only)
— Sensor balancing
— Sensor 1
— Sensor 2
— Reset
— Language
— Version
A confirmation prompt follows every parameter alteration. The
new value will not be accepted and saved until the confirmation
prompt has been answered.

6.3 Heat volume
The heat volume calculated by the heat meter is shown on the top
right of the display.
If the heat volume is below 1 MWh, it is stated as Wh.
If the heat volume is above 1 MWh, it is stated as kWh.

6.4 Flow and return temperatures
The current flow and return temperatures are shown in °C on the
bottom right of the display.
The upper value corresponds to the "VL" sensor and show the
current flow temperature (85.6 °C in the example).
The lower value corresponds to the "RL" sensor and show the
current return temperature (45.7 °C in the example).
