• Check whether the appliance is correctly assembled.
• There are possibly some foreign matters in the material to be pressed.
- Remove the foreign matters and restart the appliance.
(see section on "Clearing an screw conveyor blockage").
• It depends on the material to be pressed, to which extend the motor and/
or the screw conveyor is under stress. This can result in loud operating noise.
- Material is too moist. Dry it again in the oven.
- The material is too large - Crush again.
• Check whether you use the correct screw conveyor.
- Exchange the screw conveyor if necessary.
• Check whether the screw conveyor or the screw conveyor casing is blocked.
- Detach both parts and clean them.

• Check whether the screw conveyor is jammed by e.g. material which is too
moist.
- Detach the screw conveyor and clean it.
- Dry the material to be pressed in the oven.

• The material to be pressed contains not enough oil.
- Use seeds/ nuts with a higher oil content.
• Check whether the locking mechanism is slid to the stop on the left-hand
side, i.e. to the closed padlock symbol.
- Move the screw conveyor casing to and fro to lock it correctly.
• Foreign matters block the screw conveyor.
- Remove the foreign matters.
